Another approval milestone

Another stage in the approval process has been completed!

The NHS Lothian Research and Development Department has granted approval for the clinical aspects of the Ultrax programme of research using healthy volunteers.  This includes MRI and ultrasound recordings from around 10 adults, and ultrasound scans from around 90 normally developing children (a separate application to work with around 9 children with speech sound disorders is in progress).  This means all the required ethical approval processes have now been navigated concerning our work with healthy volunteers, and we can soon begin to collect MRI and ultrasound data from real subjects!
