Ultrasound Workshop held at Strathclyde University

On the 10th, 11th and 12th of September 2019, members of the Ultrax2020 team ran a professional development workshop on using ultrasound in clinical practice.

Close to 20 Speech and Language Therapists travelled from all over Scotland, from London, from other areas in England and from Ireland to attend the 3-day course, which was run by Dr Joanne Cleland, Dr Ellie Sugden, Professor Alan Wrench and Ms Susie Lloyd.

The workshop attendees learnt how to use ultrasound for assessment, diagnosis and therapy within their clinical practice. We had 4 ultrasound machines on the go during the workshop, so there were lots of hands-on opportunities to practice using the ultrasound!

Overall, the workshop was a success and we are looking forward to hearing about how the Speech and Language Therapists implement ultrasound into their practice.
